TiVo, a name synonymous with the DVR that is capable to record most TV shows, movies, football games in high quality. However, the TiVo files are not widely accepted by most media player and devices, an easier solution for you is to convert/burn TiVo recordings onto DVD for storing and playback. Read on for more info.
Basically, there are mainly three steps to burn TiVo recordings to DVD:
Part 1. Transfer TiVo Recording to PC
Download TiVo Desktop software for the PC, and refer to the instructions on how to transfer TiVo files to PC from its official website.
Part 2. Convert TiVo to DVD supported video format
The TiVo recordings usually in a .mpg format, which are not supported by DVD discs. Step 1. Install and launch the best TiVo to DVD Player Video Converter, simply click “Load Files” to load your TiVo recordings to the program.
Tip: Go to “TiVo Central” menu >> “Messages and Set Up” >> “Account and System Information”, and you will see your Media Access Key there.
Step 2. Simply tap the Format bar and choose DVD-Video Format- NTSC(*.vob) or DVD-Video Format- PAL(*.vob) as the output format.
Also, you can choose “DivX Video (*avi)”, or “MPEG-2 Video(*.mpg) from Common Video category for burning DVD.

Part 3. How to burn converted TiVo to DVD
In the “Create & Export” menu, choose DVD- DVD-Video, then import the converted .vob/mpeg-2 files and follow the instructions. You can either create a menu and chapters, or just make a simple DVD without menu and one video.
In the final step, NeroVideo will either write the necessary DVD structure on a DVD or to a folder on your hard disk. If you used NeroVision before, it should be easy for you because NeroVideo is very similar.
